I’m awfully tired today, was going to do a workout tonight but I think I’ll have a rest day instead.

Get this:  yesterday I flicked through the Herald Sun and read an article on a “new” diet book coming out.  The author actually said that if losing weight was as easy as cutting calories and doing more exercise we’d all be thin!  WTF!  Of course overweight is caused by environmental toxins and lack of sleep.  That family sized pizza isn’t hurting at all.

They did recommend eating healthy food in moderate portions.  Ummm, it’s that cutting back calories?  It amazes me how people promote diets that “don’t involve cutting calories” then espouse some low calorie eating scheme.  Just because you don’t count them, doesn’t mean they aren’t there.

If you’re going to buy a diet book, go for something real like this one.  I’ve been seeing it everywhere – looks like everything’s coming up Shauna at the moment.

  1. No more diet books for me. I’ve got plenty on my shelf already.

When I was in the UK, looking through WH Smith, I was really excited to see Shaunas book. I took a sneaky photo of it on the shelf as I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to take photos in the shop 🙂

I wanted to say to everyone “I know this Author” !!

  2. Who is Shauna ? Should I know her ? Have to check out her book – I read the same article you did, thought it was a little weird too.

  3. TOXINS! Ah ha!!! I knew the Nutella was innocent.

You must have good book mojo kathryn, coz everyone keeps telling me they can’t find it anywhere, hehe 🙂

  4. yeah..silly diets..we all know what we should do! the problem is (well for me) i break the ‘should do’ rulles more often than i stick to them 🙂
